Ms. Tracey Jean Nelson

Tracey Jean Nelson, 42, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Merit Health River Region Hospital in Vicksburg. A memorial service will be Friday, March 23, 2018 at 6:00 with visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. at Springridge Pentecostal Church in Raymond. Dinner will follow in the fellowship Hall of the church. Tracey was a native of Jackson and currently resided in Brandon. She loved her 2 boys. She attended Hinds where she completed her A.A. accounting degree and Mississippi College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business marketing. Tracey was a great caring soul, bubbly, always smiling and was known for her generosity to others. She liked to work with the public and worked in several restaurants in the surrounding area and most recently as a medical-legal assistant. She loved people and was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Gail Jordan Nelson. Tracey was survived by her father, Ricky Nelson of Jackson; sons, Dylan and Landon and their father Chris Sessums all of Brandon; sister, Tina (Jamie) Price of Florence; brother, Timmy (April) Nelson of Brandon; nieces, Tabitha Edwards, Tori Price and Courtney Nelson; nephews, Payton, Bryce and T.J. Nelson and Zachary Williams; grandmother, Dorothy Nelson of Richland; 3 very close aunts, Betty, Peggy and Cynt; special friend, Dr. David Conwill of Jackson and so many other family and friends.
