Tripp McDaniel, III

\ Oscar Powell "Tripp" McDaniel III, 62 , passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at VA Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. A memorial service will be held at 10am Friday, June 17 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Inurnment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.\ \ Mr. McDaniel was a native of Macon, GA, born November 26, 1948 to Oscar and Ruby Gilmore McDaniel, Jr. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines and was an investigator in the Attorney General's Office for the State of MS and retired from the Jackson Police Department after 21 years of service. Mr. McDaniel was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister Randall McDaniel Greer.\ \ Survivors include his wife Marcie Bounds McDaniel; son Jason Powell McDaniel both of Byram and sister Maxine McDaniel Craft of Florence.\ \ Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist...
