Troy Moore, 80, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at Baptist Hospital from pneumonia and Parkinson's disease. Visitation will be 2-4pm Sunday, July17, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Monday, July 18 in the funeral home chapel with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Interment will be at Rosemont Gardens.\ \ Troy was born August 30, 1930 in Fulton, MS to Hunter & Davie Moore. He attended Itawamba Jr. College, MSU and JSU. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. Troy worked for the Highway Department, Department of Agriculture and Bureau of Roads. He retired from the City of Jackson and was a member of the Jackson chapter of American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians. He was also a member of McRaven Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening and traveling.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents Hunter & Davie Hudson Moore, brother & sister-in-law Norton & Jenny Moore, sister-in-law Helen Searcy; father & mother-in-law Luther & Ona Stacy and nephew Jimmy Paden.\ \ Troy is survived by his wife of 54 years Charlene Moore; daughter & son-in-law Rene & Mark Stubbs of Terry; sister & brother-in-law Wynette & James Ramage of Northport, AL; sister-in-law Maxine Paden of Southhaven, MS and several nieces & nephews.\ \ Memorials may be made in Troy's memory to American Parkinson's Disease at 1135 Parkinson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10305.\ \
