Troy A. Pilgrim, 75, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Friday, January 8, 2010 at Country Woods Baptist Church with a 1 hour visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow at Lakewood South.\ \ An honest man of Faith who loved his God and his family, Mr. Pilgrim was born in Neshoba County on September 12, 1934. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and lived most of his life in the Jackson Area. Mr. Pilgrim was owner/operator of Pilgrims Heating and Air for 35 years and later operated Pilgrim Homes and Troy Pilgrim Builders. He was a longtime member of VanWinkle Baptist Church and presently a member of County Woods Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.\ \ He is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte J. Pilgrim in 2004. Survivors include his sons Kevin Pilgrim (Melinda) of Byram and Greg Pilgrim of Hattiesburg; daughter Teresa Savell (Joel) of Raymond; brother Glen Pilgrim (Dot) of Byram; sisters Gwen Newman of Birmingham, AL and Faye Moore (Reuben) of Philadelphia, MS; 4 sister-in-laws, Beth Comans (Gordon) of Birmingham, AL, Cynthia Frazier (Ed) of Raymond, Anna Childress (Ed) of Olive Branch, MS and Lynn Gardner (Kent) of Keller, TX; grandchildren, Zach & Jared Savell and Lindsay & Ty Pilgrim; number of nieces and nephews.\
