Mr. Ulysses S. Bridges

Ulysses Bridges, 86, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Briar Hill Rest Home in Florence. Visitation will be Friday, November 1st from 12 PM until the 2 PM funeral service at Clear Branch Baptist Church in Florence. Burial will follow at Clear Branch Cemetery. Mr. Bridges was a life long resident of Rankin County and member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. He was a vegetable and cattle farmer with his brothers all of his life and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bridges is preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Alma Bridges; and by his brothers, J.A. and J.R. “Joe” Bridges. He is survived by his sister, Frances Tucker of Florence; niece, Janet White; nephew, Clifton Tucker; great nieces and nephews and his dog, “Bo”.
