Mr. V. K. Boggs

V. K. Boggs, 89, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at his home in Braxton. Visitation will be Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with a Graveside Service following at 11:30 a.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton. Mr. Boggs was born in Jackson, MS on June 22, 1928 to Varble and Theta Boggs. He retired as a machine operator after 40 years at Stone Container. He loved NASCAR racing and was a vendor at a local race tracks under the name “Paw Paw’s Racing Collectibles”. He enjoyed using his leaf blower and hunting in his yellow school bus camper. Mr. Boggs was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Danny K. Boggs; and his brother, Harrison Boggs. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jo Dell Boggs of Braxton; his son, Tim (Sue) Boggs of Harrisville; his daughter, Jan (Anthony) Norris of Braxton; his sister, Celia Brown of Phoenix, AR; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren
