Mrs. Vaneesa Gay Smith

Mrs. Vaneesa Gay Smith, 85, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 at Briar Hill Rest Home in Florence. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25th from 12 PM until the 1 PM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in Florence Cemetery. A native of Clara, MS, Mrs. Smith has lived in Florence since 1968. For many years, she enjoyed traveling and seeing the world with her husband in his Military career. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Neidra (Richard) Bartlett of Richland and Rhonda (Richard) Harris of Florence; her sister, Carla Mae Welborn of Tyler, TX; and 2 grandchildren, Brook and Brett Harris.
