Verna L. Bass

Verna Lee Bass, 75, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 5-8pm Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be at 10:00am Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Springridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Bass was born in Laurel,MS on August 25, 1932 to Charles and Etha Elizabeth Butler. She had lived most of her life in Terry where she was a homemaker and member of Springridge United Methodist Church.\ \ She is preceded in death by her husband, E.C. Bass; survivors include her son, Mike (Melanie) Bass of Collierville, TN; daughters, Patricia (Jerry) Meador of Bogue Chitto, Frances Lynn Bass of Terry; sisters, Barbara Hawkins of Jackson, Carolyn Smith in Winchester, KY; five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.\ \ On line guest book can be signed at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\
