Mrs. Vicki Nell Thomas

Vicki Nell Thomas, 65, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021. Visitation will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and again on Friday, October 01, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Utica Cemetery in Utica, MS. Mrs. Thomas was born on October 21, 1955 in Poplarville, MS to Claude and Helen King. She was employed with Vertec Aerospace as an Avionic Technician and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Vicki loved her family and taking care of everyone. At any given time, you would find her in the kitchen baking up something wonderful for her favorites, the grandkids. She was a very dedicated, hard worker. She loved watching her husband and son working in the garden and yard and planned to retire and join them within the next year. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny and Willie King and one sister, Maggie Peak. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Tony Thomas; son, Alex Thomas of Utica; daughters, Brittney (Brett) Overstreet and Amber (Bo) Duke, both of Florence; sister, Bertha Rogers of Poplarville; and seven grandchildren: Alexis McCoy, Bryleigh McCoy, Brandon Overstreet, Dayze Duke, Kyla Bullock, Annaclaire Duke, and Fowler Duke; and a host of nieces and nephews.
