Virginia "Jennie" Reeves Nugent

Virginia “Jennie” Nugent went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 10, 2023, in Jackson, MS. She was 75 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, and again from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on December 14, 2023. Interment will take place following the service in the Garden of Memories in Florence, MS.

Jennie was born on July 31, 1948, to Claude and Nancy Reeves in Yazoo City, MS. She participated in various activities at the Richland Senior Center which included her “Domino Group”. After 25 years Jennie retired from the Children’s Cancer Center at UMMC.  She truly had a servant’s heart. The most important thing to her was her family. She loved them with every bone in her body.

Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Nancy Reeves. She is survived by children, Scott Alexander Wiechers (Linda Myatt) and Stacy Virginia Walters (Todd); grandchildren, Reeves Ainsworth, Alexanderia Nelson, Dakota Walters, Leigh Walters, and Sean Walters; great grandchildren, Dillon Ainsworth, E. J. Ainsworth, Brooklyn Baugh, and Marleigh Ainsworth.
