Virginia Carol Veach, born on May 2, 1949, in Jackson, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in her hometown on January 11, 2024. She was the daughter of James Clifford and Ellan Virginia Dixon Smith from Jackson, MS.
Carol was a devoted social worker who dedicated many years of her life to helping senior citizens. With a bachelor’s degree in social work, she was passionate about making a difference, providing support and care to those in need, and ensuring their dignity was upheld. Her commitment to her profession was evident in the gentle way she connected with her clients, always treating them with respect and understanding. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love that touched countless lives.
Throughout her life, Carol found joy in her personal passions. She had a deep love for horses, owning several throughout her lifetime. As a child, she created cherished memories while riding at Stockton Stables, moments that would stay with her forever. Her affection for nature extended beyond equestrian pursuits; she was also an avid swimmer.
Carol found great happiness in her visits to the Gulf Coast, where she enjoyed walking on the beach and exploring the local scenery. The beauty of these experiences contributed to her vibrant spirit, reflecting her appreciation for life and all it has to offer.
At the time of her passing, Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Roni Lee Veach, as well as nieces and nephews. Each of her family members were important to her, and they will carry her memory with them as they navigate the days ahead.
Carol Veach will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering dedication to her profession, and her love for life.
