Mr. Wallace "Wally" H. Martin Jr.

Wallace H. Martin, 83, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 3, 2015, passing peacefully in his sleep at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 6-9pm Wednesday, November 4, 2015 and 12noon-2pm Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral services will begin at 2pm Thursday followed by interment at Terry Cemetery. Mr. Martin was born in Morgan County, AL to the late Wallace H. Martin, Sr. and Atha Legg Martin. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a longtime resident of Terry. He retired as Safety Manger from United Parcel Service after 28 years of loyal service. Mr. Martin enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed watching the Braves. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Wynndale Baptist Church. He his preceded in death by his loving wife Sara Pearl Guire Martin (2014). Survivors include his son Dale E. Martin (Kathy) of Hattiesburg; daughters Delilah M. Fullilove (Jim) of Frisco, TX and Connie M. Gray (Gene) of Jackson; brother Larry Martin of AL; sisters Katrina Martin of AL, Brenda Byrd of AL and Freda Watkins of GA; grandchildren Tony, Christy, Eric and Marc and 10 great grandchildren.
