Wallace \wally\"" Hemphill

Mr. Wallace C. "Wally" Hemphill, 60, died June 8, 2009 at the GV "Sonny" Montgomery Medical Center. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2009 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Florence City Cemetery.\ \ Wally, a life-long resident of Florence was an accomplished outdoorsman. He could find the deer like no one else, know where the snapper were without the depth-finder, and tell a corny joke that you'd never forget. He was an accomplished electrician. Wally could be found in his last years relaxing at his bait shop, enjoying his swing and talking to his bait shop friends. He loved his wife and daughter very much. He was a great husband, father, and friend. He will be very dearly missed.\ \ He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Becky Hemphill of Florence; daughter, Melessa (Ben) Redditt; brother, Tommy Hemphill; aunts, Emma Dubose and Nell Hemphill all of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews.\
