Walter Tracy Chimileski

September 24, 1974 — May 29, 2023

Ridgeland

Walter Tracy Chimileski, 48, a Pennsylvania native born in Redstone on September 24, 1974, to parents Naomi Bower (Chimileski / Matthew) Dorton and John Charles Chimileski both who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his paternal and maternal grandparents, his loving stepfather who helped to raise him, Philip M. Matthew; beloved older brother, John Eugene Chimileski; and sister, Suzanne Renee McClelland. Walter worked with Metro Water Services Nashville, TN for nearly a decade before coming to live and work in the Crockett County area of West Tennessee. It is there, 8 years ago he chanced to meet his longtime love, Janet Bodkins Keith formerly of Nashville, living in beautiful Ridgeland, MS which shortly became Walter’s new official location and the area where God would find him, Ms. Keith by his side, when He chose to suddenly call him home on May 29, 2023. He is also survived by his aunt, Rene Pigott of Pennsylvania and many close, and dear friends in West Tennessee who can attest to his wonderful sense of humor, generosity, caring attitude, and the helpful spirit he embodied towards those in need. He believed in, honor, standing up for what was right, and had a complete respect for those who choose to serve in our nation’s military, what they do to preserve our freedom and the sacrifice of each one.

Walter’s wishes were to be cremated upon the event of his passing and his ashes to be scattered later. Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence Mississippi is seeing to his wishes with dignity and including considerations for his intelligent and perceptive German shepherd, HoneyB who, in her own grief needed the opportunity for what comprehension could be provided to her on her level.

On Sunday June 11, 2023, at 3 PM his closest friends will honor him in a memorial celebration of his life at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, Tennessee.
