Walter Stevenson

Walter Leo Stevenson, 88, was called home to heaven on January 29, 2009. Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be Monday at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Crystal Springs City Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Stevenson served in WWII for 4 years and drove long haul trucks until his retirement. He loved his family, friends, the outdoors, traveling and his dog Pepe.\ \ He is preceded in death by his daughter Jean Shivers.\ \ Survivors include his wife Ruby Byrd Stevenson; children, Annette & Clay Quinn, Maxey &Elaine Stevenson, Lamar & Debbie Stevenson, Earl & Lynn Stevenson, and one sister Dorothy Gleba.
