Mr. Jack Banks, age 81, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. \ \ He served in the Navy in WWII. He retired from the Desoto Furniture Company in Jackson. He enjoyed traveling and doing consulting work in the Overseas Furniture Manufacturing Market.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Kitty S. Banks; his son, Lamar H. Banks and wife, Linda; daughter, Karen B. Blair and husband, Neil and three grandchildren; Sarah and Brooke Banks and Jason Blair.\ \ Visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2009 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 9:30 until 10:30 am Services Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Pinola Cemetery, Pinola, MS.\
