Mr. Wayne Douglas Bynum

Wayne Douglas Bynum, 74, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, November 14th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again Sunday, November 15th from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee. Wayne was born September 8, 1946 in Simpson County, MS to the late GB and Vee Bynum. He moved from Magee to Star, MS 36 years ago and was a life-long member of Kennedy Springs Baptist Church. His passion was building furniture. He even started Star Discount Furniture where he sold his pieces. He was a wonderful person who was always helping people in need. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Along with his parents, Mr. Bynum is also preceded in death by his sister, Rachel Freeman. Hs is survived by his wife of 11 years, Jayne Bynum of Star; son, Steve (Michelle) Bynum of Florence; daughters, Michelle (Daniel) Bartran of Clark Range, TN and Kim (Thomas) McInnis of Star, MS; brother, Gus Bynum of Star; brother-in-law, Jack Freeman of Star; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
