Mr. Wayne Davidson, 74, passed away Friday, December 7, 2007 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation was 5-8pm Saturday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and Sunday from 1:00pm until the 2:00 funeral service at First Baptist Church in Byram. Interment followed in Terry Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Davidson had served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict and moved to the Jackson area in 1954 and then to the Byram area in 1965. He was a Mason and member of the Lions Club for many years. He was owner and operator of Davidson Digging Service and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Byram.\ \ He is preceded in death by his grandson, Scott Wayne Campbell and great granddaughter, Laney Jade Schrock. Survivors include his wife, Mollie B. Davidson of Terry; son, Steve Davidson of Springdale, AR; daughters, Cindy Campbell (Ron) , Sara Davidson and Anita Scarbrough (Boe) all of Byram; sisters Gay Barnett (Marcus) of Slidell, LA, Dianne Harris (Mike) of Meridian, and brother, Glenn Davidson (Sandra) of Sebastapool; grandchildren, Andrew Campbell, David Campbell, Heather Lee (Stewart), Matt Davidson (Amber), Nick Davidson, Summer Schrock (Jesse), Cory Scarbrough, Joseph Scarbrough ; and 8 great grandchildren.\ \ Memorial may be made to the First Baptist Church of Byram Building Fund 7541 Siwell Rd., Byram, MS 39272.
