Mr. Wayne Fugitt, 70, died Friday July 31, 2009 at his home.\

Visitation will be 2-5pm today and 5-8pm Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be 11am Tuesday at the funeral home with burial following at Rosemont Gardens Memorial Park.\

A native of Fulton, MS, Mr. Fugitt had lived in Jackson for 39 years. He was a design engineer and, in 1978, he started Southern Time and Alarm, now known as S.T.A. Security, which is currently run by his son, Wendell. Mr. Fugitt served in the U.S. National Guard and was a Baptist.\

He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy "Dot" Fugitt.\

He is survived by his son, Wendell Fugitt (Charynne King) of Hattiesburg; daughters, Darlene Uptagrafft (Raymond) of Guntersville, AL and Keva Wilmoth (Jack) of Terry; sisters, Ouida Gentry of Florence and Dean Gaddy of Fulton and 5 grandchildren.\
