Mr. Wayne Speir

Wayne Edwin Speir, 70, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at his home in Raymond. Visitation will be held from 9am until 10am, Tuesday January 23, 2018 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. A graveside service will follow at Lakewood Memorial Garden in Clinton at 10:30am. Wayne was a lifelong resident of the Forest Hill community and is a member of the former Forest Hill Baptist Church. Wayne was a journeyman electrician thru the IBEW local 480 for over 45 years. He proudly served our country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam era where part of his soul will forever remain. He loved his animals especially Chulee Din, his faithful companion Shih Tzu. Wayne is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara; his daughter Tammy C. Hall and her husband Jimmy of Flowood; his sons, Mitchell “Bo” Chandler of Florence and Wayne E. “Bubba” Speir, II and his wife LeAnne of Byram; two Sisters; and his grandchildren Morgan, Katelin, Grant, Bayleigh and Jessica, as well as one more on the way. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or another veteran's charity in Wayne's name.
