W.C (Bill) Moore

W.C. (Bill) Moore, 76, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 2:00pm until the 3:00pm funeral service Saturday, November 1, 2008 at St. John's United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd. \ \ Known by his friends as Bully, Mr. Moore was a graduate of Forest Hill High School and of Mississippi State University in 1959 with 2 degrees and was an avid supporter of MSU. A Veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, Mr. Moore was Director of State Maintenance for MDOT until retirement. After retirement he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was a 32 degree Mason at Forest Hill Lodge and a Wahabi Temple Shriner and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.\ \ He is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen McCombs. Survivors include his wife of 55 years Barbara Denmark Moore of Clinton; son, Mitchell Moore (Phyliss) of Forney, TX; grandchildren, Jessica Hickman, Jennifer Moore, Justin Moore, Travis Graves and Anna McCombs; uncle, Carl Moore of Birmingham, AL; and a number of cousins.\ \ The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff of MBMC for years of care.
