Mrs. Weneva "Neva" Ann Mabry

Weneva “Neva” Ann Mabry, 81, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be Friday, March 17th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Caldwell Cemetery in Carthage. A native of Carthage, Mrs. Mabry lived in the Florence area for the past 7 years moving from Jackson. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for S.N. Thomas Sons retiring in 2000. She was a loving grandmother and was always caring for others first. She loved to cook and enjoyed late night TV. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends at Falcon Crest. Mrs. Mabry is survived by her daughter, Sheryl McDurmon of Flora; grandchildren, Shondra (Lloyd) Cole, Jimmy Dale Hendrick, and Justin Hendrick; great grandchildren, Sara Anne Cole, Tucker Cole, Tyler Cole, Dillon Hendrick, Anderson Hendrick, and Aven Hendrick; brother-in-law, Rodney Slay; nephew, Ed Sanford; nieces, Carolyn Rochelle, Judy Townsend, Brenda McMillan, Linda Baldwin and Denise Mirka and numerous great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Betty Nobles, Rebecca Fletcher, Joanne Owens, and Hospice Ministries for all of their help, love and support. Nanny, you will forever be close to our hearts.
