Mr. William "Bill" James Henson Jr.

William “Bill” James Henson, Jr 61, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at his home in Florence. Visitation will be Sunday, July 14 from 5:00-7:00 PM and Monday, July 15 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00AM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City, MS. Mr. Henson was born on May 7, 1958 to Willow D. Hill and William Henson, Sr. in Yazoo City, MS. He was most recently a resident of Florence. He was a very talented “jack of all trades”. He was an excellent woodworker and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He worked construction at Southern Rock, LLC for many years. Along with his parents, Mr. Henson is preceded in death by sister, Kathy Hood. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Glenn of Florence; son, Steven (Stacy) Glenn of Raleigh; daughters, Angela (Jamie) Pugh of Bay Springs and Marie Hood of Florence; brother, Richard Henson of Memphis, TN; sisters, Billie Sue (Danny Ray) Purvis of Yazoo City, Betty (Ricky) Shivers of Yazoo City, Shirley (Randall) Mathis of Yazoo City, and Cindy (Kirk) Warren of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Alex, Angel, Danielle, Hunter, James Ray, Kaden, Kristian, Summer, Toni, and 7 great grandchildren.
