William Chesteen

William Donald Chesteen, Sr.\ Brandon, Miss.\ \ William Donald Chesteen, Sr., 76, of Brandon died Friday, February 26, 2009, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Monday evening, March 1, 2009, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The Memorial Service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm, in the funeral home chapel.\ \ Mr. Chesteen graduated from Central High School in Jackson in 1952. He was a member of the Air National Guard and also attended Mississippi State University in the late 1950s. For many years he was a civil engineer with Contractors Material.\ \ Mr. Chesteen was an avid photographer, a civil war enthusiast, a Disney fan, and he enjoyed science fiction, bicycling, and was very active in the lives of his children.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents William and Corrine Means Chesteen and one brother James Hudson Chesteen. He is survivied by his wife Vesta Chesteen, one son William D. Chesteen, Jr. one daughter Donna Chesteen, both of Orlando, FL, and one brother Samuel Dale Chesteen of Jackson.\ \ In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.\ \ Online guest book at Chancellorfuneralhome.com.\
