Mr. William H. "Bill" Sanders

William Howell “Bill” Sanders, 75, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at his home in Florence, with his family at his side. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Mr. Sanders was born December 29, 1943 in Choctaw County, MS to the late James Howell and Mary Mildred Sanders. He moved to Florence 35 years ago from Ackerman, MS. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Byram. Bill loved to drive big trucks and he even made a living out of it for most of his life. He also enjoyed fishing and just kicking back watching TV. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Ruby Sanders of Florence; his son, William “Dion” Sanders of Brandon; his daughter, Deidre Lott of Mathiston, MS; 2 step daughters, Sylvia Paige of Florence and Barbara Keir of Byram; brothers, Rev. James E. Sanders (Rhoda) of Ackerman and Horton Sanders (Cathy) of Collins; sister, Frances Williams (Dean) of Florence; six grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 25 step-great grandchildren.
