Mr. William David "Dave" Hudson

William David Hudson, 75, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his home in Florence. Visitation will be Sunday, August 30th from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Briarhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Florence. Mr. Hudson was a longtime resident of Florence and a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church. Dave loved the Lord and was faithful to read his bible everyday. He was a Godly, unselfish man that loved his family. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Edith Hudson and his loving wife of 53 years, Diana Downes Hudson. He is survived by his daughter, Felicia Hudson VanHorn and her husband Karl of Pelahatchie; granddaughter, Whitney VanHorn of Pelahatchie; brothers, Earl Hudson, Jr. of Florence and Robert “Bobby” Hudson, Sr. and his wife Faye of Brandon; sister, Rebecca Hudson Dear of Brandon; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
