Mr. William Franklin "Rick" Richardson

William Franklin “Rick” Richardson, 78, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his home in Terry. Visitation will be 5-8pm Saturday, February 25th at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 2pm Sunday, February 26th at First Baptist Church of Terry with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. Mr. Richardson was a lifelong resident of Terry. He was a career salesman in the automotive industry, retiring from Blackwell Chevrolet as fleet manager. He was an avid singer and musician who recorded with Delta Records and his band "Rick and the Rockets" are in the Rock-a-Billy Hall of Fame. Mr. Richardson was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Terry where he was the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School teacher for many years. He is preceded in death by wives, Patty Hunt Richardson and Sherrel Abbott Richardson; son, Cole Richardson; brothers, Billy & Joe Richardson; parents Sonny Boy & Gertrude Richardson. Survivors include his son, David (Anna) Richardson of Terry; daughters, Robyn (Terry) Smith of Hattiesburg, Greta Richardson of Palm Springs, CA and Karla (Ricky) Lovertich of Terry; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
