William Harvel "Dub" Sims, Jr., 57, passed Saturday, March 27, 2021 at his residence in Brandon. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence at 11:00 a.m. Dub was born April 5, 1963 in Biloxi, MS to William and Joan Frazier Sims. He loved his family and children. He was a retired Veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Afghanistan for 15 months. An outgoing and friendly guy, he loved music, dancing, having a good time and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid MSU Bulldawg fan. He loved his grandchildren like crazy. Those preceding him in death include his father, William Sims, SR and a brother, Sam King. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Dawne Sims of Brandon; sons, William H. “Billy” Sims III, Sean (Sarah) Henson and Chase Sims all of Brandon; daughters, Amber (Mallory) Skipper of Florence, Brooke Henson of Brandon; mother, Joan Frazier King of Raymond; brother Brent Sims of Bentonia; sisters, Shawn King of Raymond, Wendy Sims of Yazoo City; bonus siblings, Treena Young of Richland, James “JR” Maddox of Pearl; grandchildren, Erika Sims, Ryleigh Sims, Paisleigh McDaniel, Xander Henson, Cooper Skipper and several cousins.
