Mr. Willis Russell Carmical

Willis Russell Carmical, 91, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 5-7pm Sunday, March 3, 2019 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Monday, March 4, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood South. Mr. Carmical was born in Calhoun County, MS to the late Willis Dalton Carmical and Velma Lee Smallwood Carmical. He was a longtime resident of Jackson where he was an electric tool repairman and faithful member of Parkside Baptist Church in Byram. Mr. Carmical enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Avis Carmical; his parents and siblings. Survivors include his son, Ronald Carmical (Kay) of Byram; daughter, Pam Johnson (Dick) of Byram; grandchildren, Rhonda Russum (Josh), Cindy Grayson (Wesley) and Melissa Deaton (Miles); seven great grandchildren.
