Mrs. Wilma Odela Bridges

Mrs. Wilma Odela Bridges, 93, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Bradford Care Center in Mendenhall. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 2 PM Funeral Service Tuesday, November 18th at Harrisville Baptist Church in Harrisville. Burial will follow at Harrisville Cemetery. Mrs. Bridges is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, B.F. Bridges; her son, Jerry Bridges; her parents, Holland and Mamie Dear; and her sisters, Mary Lou Arrender, Gettis Paul and Sally Greer. She is survived by her children, Charles “Dub” (Faye) Bridges, James (Mary Ellen) Bridges, Benny (Diane) Bridges and Stella (Randy) White all of Harrisville; daughter-in-law, Wanda Bridges of Harrisville; sisters, Mae Ellis (Bud) Vance of Pearl, Lottie Barrett of Brandon, Anita “Sis” Smiley of Harrisville, Grave Shivers of Harrisville and Barbara Mullens of Harrisville; 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
