Mr. Wimpy Thomas

Mr. Carl “Wimpy” Thomas, 90, of Jackson, passed away Sunday February 2, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 12-1pm Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and graveside services will follow at 2pm at Crystal Springs Cemetery. Mr. Thomas was a native of Poplaville and a United States Navy Veteran of WWII. He was the owner/operator of Surplus City and was an avid hunter. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda and his daughter Judy. He is survived by his sons, Harry (Kim) Thomas, of Jackson and Richard (Cindy) Thomas, of Florence, his daughter Sandra (Paul) Merritt, of Jackson, 8 grandchildren and 7 ½ great grandchildren
