Mr. Wyatt Edward Bridges

Wyatt Edward Bridges, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 9th from 5-8 PM and Friday, June 10th from 10 AM until the 11 AM Funeral Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Harrisville Cemetery. A native of Harrisville, Mr. Bridges lived most of his life in South Jackson and the last 10 years in Flowood. He was a Veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Cook Construction and Hudspeth Center and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1426 with a Pilgrim Degree. Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Tanner. He is survived by his longtime mate, Patsy Phelps of Flowood; brothers, Glynn Bridges of Clinton and Ray Bridges of Harrisville; sisters, Martha Thurman of Pearl, Bobbie Godbey of Harrisville and Susan Neely of Harrisville; one grandson, Louie Phelps.
