Mr Wyatt W. Shorter

Wyatt W. Shorter, 85, a longtime resident of Braxton, died September 12, 2013 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 PM Sunday until the 2:00 PM Chapel service at Chancellor Funeral Home, Florence. Interment will follow at New Zion Cemetery in Braxton. A native of Hattiesburg, Mr. Shorter was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of Shorter Mechanical Contractors for many years and a farmer. Mr. Shorter is preceded in death by his wife Georgia and his son Stephen. He is survived by his daughters Dianne Serino of Forestdale, Massachusetts and Anita Sims of Star, a daughter-in-law Virginia and her daughter Mary Ellen, Seven Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
